Almost Missed My Flight Thanks to Production Delays!

Ok 2025 new year new me right… ok let’s get that out of the way. My first blog let’s get moving. I got some production work to do in KayEll (KL) thanks to Professor Dr. Tang (he always got my back) and long story short, I’m at KL. Well it was one heck of a trip… I was supposed to be flying with Jonas, then became Jensen, then became Flinton, then became Vimal, then… ended up just me. Kuching demanded that they stay back to shoot events and weddings. Just me. One man band, solo job. Big responsibilities. Tight schedule, let’s go.

Thanks to mom for driving me to the airport. Stop by 3rd mile food court for some breakfast.

Just finished shooting a dinner event and then back to the studio to backup the cards, few hours later my mom drove me for some breakfast and then straight to the airport for my KL Trip for a production job. Because it’s going to be a one man solo job, I had to bring JUST the right amount of equipment that won’t tire me out too much. It took me a few days to figure out what I had to bring and then shrink it down to just a DJI Ronin SC, DJI Mic, a Canon EOS R8, spare batteries and an RF 16mm F2.8 and RF 50mm F1.8 lens, a light stand, and a GODOX VL300 and a soft box, and a couple of PD Power Banks.

Adrenaline must be kicking in cos I don’t feel tired at all. Which I KNOW will haunt me later… the question is - WHEN???

Mom made this for my light stand and soft box. What would I do without her.

Stumble upon this place because there is a spot to put your trolley. Never knew it was a hot spot. Kuching just had a branch open up and the queue is insanely long.

Good thing I was early, because the line grew to a stretch as far as I could see… (for my bad eye sight at least)

Had these for second breakfast because when in Rome, just try it even if it ruins your diet. Anyways off to the Specialist Centre! Quick update: Food was pretty good. The egg tart is like a cross-breed between your traditional egg tart and a croissant. And YES, I did check the spelling on Google. Very crunchy and flaky and not too sweet. Certainly I could just eat that and be satisfied. Coffee ok… sweet, I prefer them bitter and without sugar. The fried stuff, was ok. Overall 7/10. If you think I should do a vlog let me know, maybe I’ll do that. MAYBE.

Everything went along without an issue, until it came to the 4th person who was supposed to come. She was caught up with a patient and she was late to set. At the end of the day, she came, I mic her up, and the cameras went ACTION, and it rolled for the next 30 minutes without any issues. Ok packed up and I’m GONE! Rushing to the airport. I’m going to miss my flight!!!!!!

Did I miss my flight? Thankfully no! Checked in everything and I still had 20 minutes to gobble up all the food at one of my must go places to eat - DING TAI FUNG! (Not a paid sponsor, but call me!) At the end of the day my battery was really low and I’m pretty sure I snored in the plane. End of post. Thank you for reading! Until the next story!
